International growth doesn’t start with a perfect plan. It starts with the right experiments.

I help established companies find the smartest way to test international growth, and turn plans into real market learning.

A hands-on 3-month internationalisation partnership for companies that see growth potential abroad but don’t yet have a dedicated team to make it happen.

You don’t need another internationalisation plan sitting in a folder.

You know there could be demand outside Finland. Your product works, your customers value it, and someone on the management team keeps saying you should be selling abroad. But the questions pile up quickly.

Which market?

Which customer segment?

What should we actually test?

Who internally owns it?

How much should we invest before we know whether it works?

The answer isn’t always a six-month strategy project.

Sometimes the smartest next step is to get the right people around the table, make the best assumptions visible and start testing them.

Most of the answers are already somewhere in your organisation. They just haven’t been put to the market yet.

3-MONTH INTERNATIONALISATION PARTNERSHIP

From “we should internationalise” to real evidence from the market.

I join your existing team for about three months. Together we go from a vague sense that there’s something out there to a clear, evidence-based decision about what to do next.

Built for established Finnish B2B companies with a working business at home and no dedicated internationalisation team. Typically industrial, technology and technical SMEs.

  1. Opportunity

Understand what’s actually there, and why it matters now.

  2. Focus

Choose one market, one segment and one question worth answering.

  3. Test

Turn assumptions into hypotheses and design practical market experiments.

  4. Learn

Run the experiments and gather customer and market evidence.

  5. Decide

Look at what you learned and decide what deserves further investment.

  6. Grow

Put people and budget behind what worked.

I don’t hand you a market report and disappear.

I facilitate the process, bring the right people together and keep the momentum going while the experiments happen. Your team does the work with me, so the learning stays in your company.

When the three months are over, you have evidence, a decision and people who know how to take the next step.

Testing a market doesn’t mean betting the company on it.

An experiment is a small, deliberate way to find out whether an assumption holds. Some take a week and a few phone calls. Some take a bit more commitment.

  • Customer interviews

Targeted conversations with potential buyers in the new market.

  • Segment tests

Trying the same offer on different customer groups to see who bites.

  • Landing pages

A simple page in the local language to measure real interest.

  • Targeted campaigns

Small, focused campaigns aimed at one segment in one market.

  • Outbound sales

A defined outreach sprint to see what happens when you actually ask.

  • Pricing and value tests

Finding out what matters to buyers there, and what they’ll pay for it.

  • Partner conversations

Talking to distributors and partners before choosing a route to market.

  • Small commercial pilots

A first real deal, scoped small enough to learn from safely.

The goal is to buy information before making a much larger investment.

The right experiments depend on your company, your market and the hypothesis you’re testing. We choose them together, so they fit your product and the people who’ll run them.

Anne Sorvari

I like the point where an idea has to meet reality.

I’m a Finnish-American business developer, facilitator and entrepreneur based in Finland. My career keeps circling back to the same question:

How do we take something that could work, like a new market, concept, service or direction, and find out whether it actually will?

I’ve worked across entrepreneurship, startup ecosystems, business development, marketing, internationalisation and established companies, and facilitated hundreds of events, workshops, Startup Weekends and innovation processes.

I’m not there to be the person with all the answers. My job is to get the right knowledge out of your organisation, challenge assumptions, create structure when the path isn’t obvious, and make sure ideas turn into action.

Don’t spend six months trying to predict the market.

Design a smart way to ask the market.

Thinking about a new market?

You don’t need to know exactly how to enter it before we talk.

If international growth is on the table but the route isn’t clear yet, let’s look at it together.

Let’s talk.
